LEGIT methodology -
a smarter way to measure hotel impact
LEGIT (Lodging Emissions & Guest‑night Impact Tracker), developed in collaboration with Furthr, goes beyond traditional hotel carbon measurements by capturing the full environmental footprint of a stay, including energy, water, waste, consumables, and furnishings.
Unlike conventional methods that often focus on a single aspect like energy use, LEGIT measures all relevant emissions per guest night, giving a complete, transparent, and comparable view of impact. This holistic approach allows us and our guests to make truly informed sustainability decisions.

At Bob W, every night counts, not just for you, but for the planet too.
Across our hotels, a typical stay leaves just 5.4 kg CO₂e per night, well below the European hotel average of ~12 kg CO₂e per night.
That’s thanks to 100 % renewable electricity, energy‑saving innovations, and careful monitoring of everything from heating and lighting to water and waste.
On top of that, we fully offset every stay and support impactful reforestation projects, including 2,774 tree-planting birthdays last year. Because at Bob W, “sustainable stay” isn’t marketing fluff, it’s part of how we treat this planet like we treat our apartments: with real care.
